︎ MY ROLE

  • Brainstorm and iterate designs
  • Identified system logic and flow of features
  • Assisted usability testing and analysed results. Obtained insights into different identified customer groups and what their specific needs were from the application
  • Actively participate in creative brainstorming sessions with the marketing team and potential customers
  • Prepared material for, and presented for the working team, supporting teams and company executives

︎ MUANG THAI LIFE (MTL)

One of Muang Thai Life’s core values is to put the customer at the centre of their decisions and to help them lead happy and fulfilling lives. A new holistic health tracking app was created to incorporate digital services which aligns with its value and business strategy.

︎ TARGET GROUPS : KEY BEHAVIOURS

Back and Forth

  • Inconsistent motivation and commitment to exercise
  • Lacks knowledge and confidence to exercise regularly
  • Driven by extrinsic motivation

Extreme

  • Intrinsically motivated
  • Committed to a regular exercise routine
  • Wants insights as a result of their performance

︎ PAIN POINTS

How do you know the optimum level of exercise for you?

Inconsistent motivation

Lack of affordable personalised advice

How do you determine your overall
‘health’?

︎ DESIGN PROCESS

LOW FIDELITY : WEEKLY GOAL FEATURE

How might we motivate users to become more active in a personalised way?

Preliminary wireframes and user journeys were discussed with our project manager as a basis to develop the interface and flows.

HIGH FIDELITY : WEEKLY GOAL FEATURE

High fidelity designs and prototypes were created to establish a realistic experience for user feedback.

︎ USABILITY TESTING

Usability tests were carried out with 15 participants to meet with target users and receive feedback on the prototype.

I conducted a thorough analysis of user behaviours and interactions with the prototype which provides key insights for further development.

︎ INSIGHTS AND LEARNINGS

  • Extreme users expect more information on each exercise session
  • Current offering of exercises are too limited, user wants to see more specific activities such as boxing, weightlifting etc.
  • Users want more flexibility and autonomy over their weekly goal
  • UI design matches preference of Thai people
  • Seen as a complementary application to user’s primary fitness app

I also attended creative workshops which utilised different ideation methods such as

  • word association
  • card sorting
  • storyboarding
  • empathy maps

to explore many creative directions, creating the basis for future features and the marketing direction for the November 2020 launch.

︎ ILLUSTRATIONS AND ANIMATIONS

I did illustrations and animations for the app on Adobe Illustrator and After Effects
